How calculations work
Volume and weight answer different questions.
CBM shows physical volume. Air freight commonly compares actual gross weight with volumetric weight and charges the higher value.

Carrier rules, mode, route, minimum charges, density, rounding, pallet contours, and special handling can change the chargeable weight. For sea freight, CBM supports LCL planning but does not confirm container fit or freight price.
